Weddings during the Pandemic

Planning a wedding can be stressful and add a pandemic on top of everything else, it can feel like a whirlwind. That’s why your friends at Versatile Event Design have compiled advice  to help you get through it and actually enjoy it!

Know you’re not alone

Unfortunately, this year has caused thousands of couples to have to rearrange their wedding dates and often more than one time. Join Facebook groups of other engaged couples in your area or nationwide. You can vent and gain insight on how to handle various aspects of your wedding (such as inviting people when your guest list needs to be reduced.)

Stay flexible 

Remember the true reason for your wedding, your love! As guidelines adjust, keep this in mind and have a plan B, C, and D, available. Keeping a document with guests emails or creating a phone chain is a good way to blast out information if something is changed last minute. 

Plan with social distancing in mind

Talk to your planner and the venue to coordinate how your wedding can be socially distant. Some things to keep in mind are if you are using the same chairs for the ceremony and reception to have staff wipe them down in between. Also seat people who are in the same ‘pod” together.

Hire the right vendors

If you haven’t already hired your vendors, or moved your date and need to replace a few due to a date change, really dig deep on who to pick.
